In Carroll County, all commercial businesses are required to have a Knox Box in accordance with the Fire Code. This requirement helps protect property, employees, and customers by giving emergency personnel access when every second counts.
Installation Requirements:
- Knox Boxes must be installed at a location visible and accessible to first responders that is approved by the Fire Marshal.
- The type and size of the Knox Box should meet the specifications for your building’s occupancy and use.
- Installation must comply with Carroll County Fire Marshal guidelines.
