It is the policy of Carroll County Fire Rescue and the Carroll County Fire Marshal’s Office, to determine the origin and cause of all fires. The Fire Marshal’s Office Investigators consist of highly trained, Georgia certified fire investigators, and Georgia P.O.S.T. mandated officers whose mission is to investigate the crime of arson and pursue persons who commit this crime. By utilizing innovative techniques, our investigators can pinpoint a fire’s area of origin and the method used to ignite the fire. In the event a criminal act is determined to have occurred, the Fire Investigators will seek out and prosecute anyone involved in the act of intentionally setting, assisting another, or counseling another to set fire in violation of the Official Code of Georgia and the Carroll County Code of Ordinance.
