CAPTAIN ERIC CAIN

Captain Eric Cain's story is one of resilience, service, and full-circle purpose. At just 17 years old, he survived a horrific vehicle accident in Whitesburg, and it was the brave responders from Carroll County Fire Rescue who helped save his life that day. That experience changed everything.

Six years later, Eric answered the call to serve and joined Carroll County Fire Rescue in 2013, the very department that once came to his aid. Since then, he has risen through the ranks, serving as a Firefighter and Lieutenant, and also bringing his expertise to Austell Fire & EMS and Bremen Fire Rescue.

A highly trained professional, Captain Cain holds certifications in Firefighter I & II, AEMT, Fire Officer I-IV, Instructor I & II, Rope Rescue, and more. His rescue skills include Rope, Confined Space, Trench, Structural Collapse, Swiftwater, and Hazardous Materials. He also serves on Georgia Search and Rescue Task Force 6 and is part of Axioms of Leadership.

Now, as Training Captain, he is committed to mentoring and developing the next generation of firefighters, pouring into others with the same dedication that once saved him.

Captain Cain lives in Bowdon with his wife, Brandi, and their four children: Ashlynn, Dawson, Haven, and John.
