If you are a military or overseas citizen living outside the United States on Election Day, standard procedures apply to your voter registration and absentee application. However, there are federal provisions to expedite delivery of ballots to those who are members of the U.S. Armed Forces (Navy, Army, Air Force, Marine Corps, and Coast Guard), Merchant Marines, Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and other relevant Federally or Internationally affiliated entities. These provisions also apply to their family members, and those citizens who reside outside of the United States.
